Braille

Preamble Mr. Thouin

We, like every year for 4 years, visited by M Legaltel, blind, association Haüy Valentin ( see article last year). This retired physical therapist, came to teach students about equipment problems encountered by visually impaired and blind. We also participated in national days of October 4 and 5.

Braille is a writing for the blind. This writing is made of small raised dots. Alphabet binds Braille by touch. Blind people develop their other senses: touch, hearing (mostly this), smell and taste.

equipment for the blind are more expensive than LEDs:

- blind dog (for lead): several thousand euros.

- to 400 € a computer requires a synthesized voice (so you can hear) to 3000 €.

- Microwave speaking to 460 €

- bus ticket for the blind is 2 € 10 while the bus is normal to 1 € 27.
Etc. ..

Tutoring

Every Tuesday, we do tutoring in reading with the class CE1 Mr. Dodier. Tutoring in reading is a good idea of Noah Ricard (former student and class representative) because CE1 CM2 can help to learn better, eg to recognize vowels and consonants. We like to read and correct. We see they are making progress. Moreover, they seem to adore. We!
